Miscellaneous: The mold for this weathervane was carved by E.W. Hastings, Boston, for production by Cushing and White of Waltham, Massachusetts in 1869. It was later produced by L.W. cushing & Sons of Waltham, c. 1870-1900. A closely related example is in the Smithsonian Institution, Eleanor and Mabel VanAlstyne Collection.
