Such is the case with this apothecary cabinet, the only one we have seen with an original attached convertible table. One can imagine the druggist lowering the table to create his concoctions off to the left side.<br />
It has been a favorite piece of ours since we first laid eyes on it just to the right of Helaine and Burt Fendelman&#8217;s kitchen door.</p>

This chest was made for &#8220;Elisabeth Beinhauer&#8221; in 1797.</p>
