This New England tall case clock retains an exceptionally fine grain-painted finish accented by dark green and black. The face is signed “R. Whiting Winchester” (Riley Whiting, Winchester, Connecticut, d.1835) with wooden works attributed to Silas Hoadley (Plymouth, Connecticut, c.1786-1870).
